GET JIRO!: AUNT PEGGY and UNCLE JUNE

WB Animation Character Design, GET JIRO!, Aunt Peggy and "Uncle June."
Media: Digital Art.

In the episode entitled, "Secret Sauce," we see the personal history of CAHD officer Cynda Lynn played out in flashback sequences. I had a blast designing Aunt Peggy.

When I heard that they would be needing other designs eventually for filling out the members of the small family BBQ business, I went forward on the preliminary roughs without being assigned. My time on this series' production crew was limited, but I wanted to get as much done as possible before my departure. I misplaced the sketches for the other two girls, but I've managed to clean up the big fella just now, long after the fact. As a result, these are my own color selections, not reflective of what they went with in the final screen versions. Also, I felt behooved to give the man a name. Just for kicks, since I once had an "Aunt Peggy," I've named him "Uncle June," after my late mother's brother.
