GET JIRO!: ROSE

GET JIRO!
WB Animation Character Design, JET JIRO!, Rose.
Media: Digital Art.

In the episode entitled, "Meat Is Murder," Rose must do some quick thinking in order to survive a rival gangster hit leading to a bloody massacre at her ranch/feedlot. I won't spoil exactly how she does it, but the tactic involves shades of Han Solo saving Luke Skywalker in Act One of STAR WARS: THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK (1980), or Leonardo DiCaprio as Hugh Glass in THE REVENANT (2015). In fact, if the viewers pay close attention to this series, there are plenty of geeky sci-fi film genre Easter eggs scattered throughout. With co-creator Anthony Bourdain having been such a comic book geek himself, how could there not be?
