AVENGERS ASSEMBLE: THE FALCON vs IRON MAN!

Marvel Animation Character Splash, AVENGERS ASSEMBLE, Falcon and Iron Man.

This was a freelance job where I was asked to illustrate a shot based on a storyboard panel, a shot depicting the Falcon and Iron Man in pitched battle, based on the art style and character designs established by Jeff Wamester. The frame for the storyboard panel was the same as it is for this illustration, with certain elements "bleeding" out of the edges. These sorts of images are usually most exciting when the composition presents the conflict with the more popular character appearing to be at a disadvantage. Originally, I submitted the work as clean line art. As an exercise, long after the fact, I've decided to add color, effects, and my own choice of photographic background which does not conform to the setting as seen in the actual animated episode.
