YJST: PHANTOMS - Trogowogs Wall

In Season Four, the Trogowogs make several episodic appearances, consistently providing comedy relief. They even crash a very special event in the Season Finale. I admit, these mischievous imps tend to grow on you-- like a fungus.
I finally decided to finish up select design elements from their model sheets, presenting them all together here on what I call a character design "wall." It was just another Photoshop exercise during some rare free time-off from my real work.

These are my own color selections, reflecting what I imagined rather than what ultimately appeared in the show. With the limited budget and time governing television animation, these versions of the critters would have been too fancy, and too costly to consider. Basically, just as I successfully did with the Krolotean alien species from YOUNG JUSTICE: INVASION (Season Two), I envisioned a bit of variety within the Trogowog species. There are red Trogs, and purple Trogs, and some come with speckled skin. I'm not sure if the color variance signifies different genders. As magical creatures, this distinction may be unnecessary. But perhaps the purple ones could have been a little smaller than the red ones. In any case, I prefer this breakdown because it's more fun that the uniform mustard color used in the final screen version.
