MALIBU COMICS' ULTRAVERSE: The Next Wave!

Malibu Comics Promotional Art, MALIBU ULTRAVERSE "THE NEXT WAVE."

I was assigned to render an illustration promoting the new batch of superheroes from Malibu Comics at the time, many years ago. The concept I came up with was, "The Next Wave."
I envisioned the new characters and titles emerging from a body of water, and I rendered each in a slightly different style. Warstrike (on the far left) I tried to render in a style similar to that of Mr. Simon Bisley. Rune, the vampire, was a Barry Windsor-Smith influence. The next characters (for MASQUERADE, my own creations), were done in my own style. And the last, Wrath, was done in a typically West Coast, Lee/Silvestri style.
Quite an interesting challenge to sort of work this way, pretending to be different artists on a single illustration.
