USM: HYDRA VULTURE ARMOR

Marvel Animation Character Design, ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN, Hydra Vulture in Armored Suit.

In a final season episode, Dr. Octopus furnishes the mutated young Adrian Toomes with a specialized suit of Hydra armor. This was tough for me, since I dislike drawing or designing anything technical or mechanical. I adhered to the classic vulture motif from the Bronze Era comics, incorporating feathery shapes into the armor segmentation. Small energy pods on the belt resemble eggs, and the large bulbous yoke atop the shoulders recalls the white feather ruff from the original Steve Ditko design. This section also housed a jet-pack module round the back, along with the collapsible metallic wings. This is my own color scheme, different from the final screen version.
