DARK HULK DESTROYED!

Marvel Animation Character Design, HULK AND THE AGENTS OF S.M.A.S.H., Dark Hulk.

In the second season episode entitled, "The Green Room," the monstrous rage of The Hulk is extracted by The Leader and his machinery, and this essence is given physical form separate from The Hulk himself. In order to destroy this Dark Hulk, the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. use a powerful beam to vaporize it.

Based on the storyboard panels, I came up with this line art (minus the vaporizing beam). In the end, I don't think they even used it in the show. Well, it made for a challenging exercise after the fact, adding my own colors, and digital effects. The beam's ultraviolet light steadily disintegrates the creature, but the lack of reflected color on the monster deliberately enhances the effect that Dark Hulk was never of genuine substance.
