X-MEN '97: EN SABAH NUR

Marvel Animation Character Design, X-MEN '97, En Sabah Nur.
Media: Adobe Photoshop.

With the release of the art-book devoted to Season One of the series featuring this image, I have permission to share it online as part of my portfolio. I knew very little about En Sabah Nur, and this was my first opportunity at drawing the character. Notes from Lead Character Designer Amelia Vidal were invaluable. Because this character appears in the book as a teaser for Season Two, I cannot reveal any more information regarding him. I will say that, for the character's rather arrogant pose, I drew inspiration from actor Jason Momoa's Dothraki character Drogo, from GAME OF THRONES.

***The X-MEN '97 art-book is one of the best of its kind, a must-have for every art lover, animation geek, and superhero fan. I highly recommend getting a copy for yourself.
