Marvel Animation Character Design, HULK AND THE AGENTS OF S.M.A.S.H., Pluto and Cerberus.
In the second season episode entitled, "The Tale of Hercules," Pluto, god of the Underworld makes an appearance riding Cerberus, the hellhound. For my design adaptation, I dispensed with the serpent's tail. Instead of a mane of snakes, I went with an ordinary mane of coarse hair. And I blended the body of a powerful and gigantic lion with that of a vicious three-headed rottweiler with fiery drool I like to call "sa-lava."
I added some subtle details just for kicks. The central head is the largest, the alpha, also indicated by the nips on the inner ears of the two outer heads (injuries administered by the dominant alpha).
I chose to incorporate a crescent moon motif into Pluto's saddle. I suppose some significance can be found for this, but I just thought it looked cool at the time, and appropriately menacing. I hope you like it!
