BEWITCHED!

Unused Marketing Art, Columbia Pictures' BEWITCHED.

Several years ago, a freelance project was passed on to me by a friend. Columbia Pictures was remaking the popular 60s television series, "Bewitched," as a movie (following the trends of the day), starring Nicole Kidman, and Will Ferrell. In a rough sketch, I endeavored to render the actors' likenesses in the style of the delightful Hanna-Barbera animation, which opened the shows on television. In a strange twist, the final assignment was given to someone else (someone with better connections), and a completely different direction was taken with it.
Sadly, the movie was an absolute flop. That's show biz!
