The BLACK CANARY

WB Animation, Character Design, JUSTICE LEAGUE: CRISIS ON TWO EARTHS, The Black Canary. Pencil, cleaned up and colored in Photoshop.

My challenge was to design characters for animation in a style closely matching that of my friend, Phil Bourassa, the lead designer on this show.

Initially, I colored Dinah's eyebrows blonde, which is the default reasoning. Although she looks better that way, it defeats her modus operandi. She wears blonde wigs!
